Post Unauthorised PayPal Transactions from plaync

I got some e-mails recently that informed me of a possible unauthorised transaction on my PayPal Account. At first I thought it may be a scam-mail, but when I logged into my account, it turned out that plaync charged me with 49.99 USD. What product I could have purchased is beyond me (I have nothing left to buy from the store) and I am currently in contact with PayPal to resolve this issue.

I don't want to spread panic, but I just wanted to let you know that you might want to keep an eye on your paypal-account. I somehow have the feeling that I am not the only one with this issue. I could be wrong of course, so good for you if you don't have any problems.

Good thing is it was already recognized as a potential unauthorised transaction, so it should be resolved within a few days.

Last week we also heard of more erroneous account suspensions for payment fraud.

What's going on here?

I'm glad Ncsoft don't have any of my financial details.

That wasn't a security issue, that was a bug in the billing system. Different issues, consider that NCSoft doesn't bill for GW.

A bug that steals $300 isn't a security issue?

Security issue implies they weren't the ones doing it. That some outside entity is responsible. The issue with Warhammer Online was internal.

things going from bad to worse, so glad they got a new 'security' group to help them out.
With the roll back on their security side I wonder if they new people are giving really really bad advice?
